The second meeting of the SDG 4-Education 2030 High-Level Steering Committee’s Sherpa Group will be held on 16-17 May 2022 at UNESCO HQ co-chaired by Sierra Leone's Education Minister David Sengeh and UNESCO's head of Education Stefania Giannini.
The group has the central duty to provide leadership regarding the way forward for the world’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the transformation of education and learning. It is collectively advancing on the preparatory process of the UN Secretary-General’s Transforming Education Summit through its three work streams around national consultations, Action Tracks, and public engagement for education and ultimately reaching Sustainable Development Goal 4 - quality education by 2030.
